Grundfos pump company adding 50 jobs to Fresno plant

Grundfos is adding 50 jobs to its Fresno plant as it expands its production of pumping equipment.

Grundfos, one of the world's leading pump manufacturers, is hiring manufacturing technicians, warehouse technicians, engineers, master maintenance journeypersons and skilled fabricators.

Company officials expect to quadruple production of one of its "intelligent" booster pumps from four to 30 per day by the end of the year. The Fresno plant employs 350 workers.

"Ramping up manufacturing and assembly in the region is pivotal to Grundfos' ambitions to become a leader in the North American market," Heins Kart Pedersen, vice president of operations for Grundfos North America, said in a statement. "Investing in our manufacturing capacity will help us deliver our quality products to our customers as efficiently as possible. On top of that, our expanded capabilities will mean additional opportunities for job creation and employee development.
