The project to bring development to property along the railroad tracks just off downtown Tulare may take a step closer to reality early next week. Orosco Development LLC is seeking Tulare Planning Commission approval to construct three buildings on North J Street between Cross and San Joaquin avenues. The property has been slated for commercial development since the city bought it from the railroad company. The property was also cleaned up as underground storage tanks were found when the area was dug up.
The proposed construction will also be near where the pedestrian bridge over J Street and the railroad tracks is being built. The Tulare Planning Commission will consider the permit for Orosco Development when the planners meet in regular session at 7 p.m. Monday at the council chambers, 491 N. M St.
