Fresno, CA
September 16, 2015
An expanding Xerox call center in Fresno that handles phone inquiries for the California LifeLine telephone program is seeking applications to fill at least 30 positions as bilingual customer-service representatives.
Applicants are needed who can speak English as well as Asian languages such as Cantonese, Mandarin, Tagalog, Japanese, Hmong, Korean or Vietnamese.
“The LifeLine program continues to reach more people whose first language is not English,” said Maureen Kenihan, the center’s manager. “We need to expand our capabilities to communicate effectively.”
California LifeLine is a state-funded program that provides discounted home phone and cellphone service to eligible low-income households with discounts that reduce the cost of phone bills.
About 2.2 million customers are part of the program across California.
People wanting to apply for jobs at the call center can email CALifeLineHub@xerox.com.
